MINUTES

Representative Jim Davnie, Chair of the Education Finance Committee, called the virtual meeting to order at 10:30am on March 29, 2022, pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was broadcasted via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Rep. Marquart moved that the minutes from March 24, 2022, be approved. Motion prevailed.

HF 1729 (Rep. Jordan) - School lunch and breakfast for all students provided, and money appropriated.

Rep. Jordan moved that HF 1729 be presented before the committee; be laid over for further consideration and possible inclusion in a future omnibus bill.

Rep. Jordan presented HF1729.

Rep. Jordan renewed the motion to lay over HF 1729 for possible inclusion or for further consideration at a later date.

HF 3265 (Rep. Howard) - School lead testing and remediation requirements modified, report required, and money appropriated.

Rep. Wolgamott moved that HF 3265 be presented before the committee; be referred to the Health Finance and Policy committee.

Chair Davnie moved that the A3 author’s amendment to HF 3265 be presented to and adopted by the committee. A voice vote was taken. Motion prevailed; the amendment was adopted.

Rep. Howard presented HF 3265, as amended.

Rep. Wolgamott renewed the motion that HF 3265, as amended, be referred to the Health Finance and Policy Committee. A roll call vote was taken. Motion prevailed.
