MINUTES

Representative Rick Hansen, Chair of the Environment and Natural Resources Finance and Policy Committee, called the virtual meeting to order at 1:00 P.M. March 3, 2022, pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was conducted over Zoom and broadcast via House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll

Representative Morrison moved that the minutes of March 1, 2022, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Hansen moved that HF 3627 (Xiong, J.) be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

Chair Hansen moved that the A1 amendment be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Xiong, J. presented HF 3627, as amended; Pig's Eye Landfill Task Force established, report required, and money appropriated.

Testifying on HF 3627, as amended:
- Jane Prince, St. Paul City Council Member, Ward 7.
- Victoria Reinhardt, District 7 Ramsey County Commissioner.
- Tom Dimond, Citizen, St. Paul.
- Kirk Koudelka, Assistant Commissioner, Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.

Chair Hansen renewed his motion that HF 3627, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill. The bill was laid over.

Representative Wazlawik moved that HF 3075 (Wazlawik) be recommended to be re-referred to the Commerce Finance and Policy Committee.

Representative Wazlawik moved that the A1 amendment be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Wazlawik presented HF 3075, as amended; Products containing PFAS disclosure notice required.

Representative Becker-Finn presented HF 3686; Firefighting foam use prohibited, and exemptions allowed.
