HEALTH FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE

MINUTES

Representative Tina Liebling, Chair of the Committee, called the virtual Health Finance and Policy Committee meeting to order at 3:00 P.M. on February 9, 2022 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting is being broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Huot moved that the minutes of February 8, 2022 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2914 First Engrossment (Schultz) Human services commissioner allowed to reinstate waivers and modifications.

Representative Schultz moved that HF2914, First Engrossment, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Representative Schultz explained her bill and moved the H2914A3-1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Testifying:

1. Stacy Hennen, Social Services Director, Grant County – Minnesota Association of County Social Service Administrators.

Chair Liebling moved the H2914A2-1 Amendment and explained the first part – Section 5.

Testifying:

1. Diane Rydrych, Acting Assistant Commissioner, Health Systems Bureau, MN Department of Health (MDH)

Chair Liebling explained the second part of her amendment – Section 6. The Chair then renewed her motion to adopt the H2914A2-1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Schultz renewed her motion that HF2914, First Engrossment, as amended, be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Chair Liebling stated there would be a roll call vote. The results were as follows:
