MINUTES

Representative Jennifer Schultz, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:30 am on February 18th, 2021 remotely via Zoom and broadcast via House Public Information Services.


The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Rep. Liebling moved that the minutes from February 17th, 2021 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Presentation: Minnesota Department of Human Services, Waiver Reimagine: Individualized Budgets

• Elyse Bailey, Director, Fiscal Policy, DHS

HF976 (Acomb) COVID-19; home and community-based service waivers remote provisions extended, commissioner required to develop new medical assistance covered service proposal, and commissioner of human services required to seek advice on unit-based services.

Chair Schultz moved that HF976 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus.

Chair Schultz moved the A1 amendment THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Schultz renewed her motion that HF976, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in a budget omnibus.
