MINUTES

Representative Jennifer Schultz, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:30 am on March 9, 2022, remotely via Zoom and broadcast via House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Lead Albright moved that the minutes from March 8, 2022, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2773 (Liebling) Medical assistance income and spenddown limits increased for persons with disabilities and persons age 65 and over.
Rep. Liebling moved the A1 Amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

• Rebecca Preston, Citizen Advocate, Brain Injury Alliance
Chair Schultz laid HF2773, as amended, over for possible inclusion in the Human Services Finance and Policy Omnibus bill.
Chair Schultz handed the gavel to Vice Chair Bahner
HF 4096 (Schultz) A presumptive eligibility process established for home and community-based waiver services and alternative care applicants.

• Catherine Kinnaman, Deputy Director HQ Operations, Washington State Department of Social and Health Services
Vice Chair Bahner laid HF4096 over for possible inclusion in the Human Services Finance and Policy Omnibus bill.
HF2283 (Albright) PACE program funding mechanism established, and money appropriated.
Rep. Albright moved the DE1 Amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Schultz laid HF2283 over, as amended, for possible inclusion in the Human Services Finance and Policy Omnibus bill.
