COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Connie Bernardy, Chair of the Higher Education Finance and Policy Division, called the virtual committee meeting to order at 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday March 23, 2021 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Noor moved to approve the minutes from March 17, 2021. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Vice Chair Christensen assumed the gavel at 3:30 PM.

HF 993 (Bernardy) - Office of Higher Education, Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, University of Minnesota, and the Mayo Clinic funding and policy changes provided; student aid programs modified; direct admission pilot program created; reports required; and money appropriated.

Chair Bernardy moved that HF 993 to be laid over for possible inclusion.

Chair Bernardy presented HF 993 to the committee.
