CLIMATE AND ENERGY FINANCE AND POLICY MINUTES

Representative Patty Acomb, Chair of the Committee on Climate and Energy Finance and Policy, called the meeting to order at 3:00 PM on February 28, 2023 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Kraft moved that the minutes from February 21, 2023 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 1918 (Kozlowski); Department of Commerce authorized to assist any Tribal advocacy council on energy established by the 11 federally recognized Indian Tribes of Minnesota

Chair Acomb moved that HF 1918 be be laid over.

Representative Kozlowski presented HF 1918.

Testifiers:
• Jon Kelly, Director of Government Affairs, Department of Commerce
Chair Acomb renewed the motion that HF 1918 be be laid over. The bill was laid over.

HF 1983 (Rehm); Energy-use goal established for commercial and residential buildings.

Representative Rehm moved that HF 1983 be laid over.

Representative Rehm presented HF 1983.

• Jon Kelly, Director of Government Affairs, Department of Commerce

Representative Rehm renewed the motion that HF 1983 be laid over. The bill was laid over.

HF 1650 (Davis); Commerce; reporting dates modified.

Representative Davis moved that HF 1650 be re-referred to the Committee on Commerce.

Representative Davis presented HF 1650.

Representative Davis renewed the motion that HF 1650 be re-referred to the Committee on Commerce. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
