CHILDREN AND FAMILIES FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Heather Keeler, Vice Chair of the Children and Families Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:31 AM on February 9, 2023, in Room 200N of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

HF 1277 (Coulter) Early learning scholarships program changes made, and money appropriated.

Representative Coulter moved to bring HF 1277 before the committee.

Representative Coulter presented HF 1277.

HF 874 (Lee) Head Start appropriation use and distribution methods modified, and money appropriated.

Representative Lee moved to bring HF 874 before the committee.

Representative Lee moved the A2 amendment. The amendment was corrected in a revised motion to the A2-1. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDEMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Lee presented HF 874 as amended.

Vice Chair Keeler moved to re-consider the minutes from February 2, 2023 for approval. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Vice Chair Keeler moved to adopt the corrected minutes from February 2, 2023 for approval. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Vice Chair Keeler moved that the minutes from February 7, 2023 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Vice Chair Keeler moved that the minutes from the joint meeting with the Committee on Education Finance on February 8, 2023 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting adjourned at 9:49AM.
