ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FINANCE & POLICY COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Hodan Hassan, Chair of the Committee on Economic Development Finance and Policy, called the meeting to order at 8:33 AM on March 10, 2023 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Richardson moved that the minutes from the committee on February 15, 2023 and March 8, 2023 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 2059 (Lislegard) Individual income tax provisions modified, corporate franchise tax provisions modified, film production credit modified, allocation increased, and sunset repealed.

Chair Hassan moved to re-refer HF 2059 to the Committee on Taxes.

Representative Lislegard presented HF 2059.

Chair Hassan renewed the motion to re-refer HF 2059 to the Committee on Taxes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 1659 (Coulter) Bloomington Port Authority; Expo 2027 host organization funding provided, and money appropriated.

Chair Hassan moved to re-refer HF 1659 to be laid over for possible inclusion in the Committee on Economic Development Finance & Policy omnibus bill.

Representative Coulter presented HF 1659.

Representative Coulter moved to adopt the H1659A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Hassan renewed the motion to re-refer HF 1659 to be laid over for possible inclusion in the Committee on Economic Development Finance & Policy omnibus bill, as amended.

HF 1781 (Lislegard) Minerals; Giants Ridge account created, and use of funds provided.

Chair Hassan moved to re-refer HF 1781 to be laid over for possible inclusion in the Economic Development Finance & Policy committee omnibus bill.

Representative Lislegard presented HF 1781.
