ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FINANCE & POLICY COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Smith of the Committee on Economic Development Finance and Policy, called the meeting to order at 10:31 AM on March 24, 2023 in Room 120 of the State Capitol.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

HF 3066 (Richardson) Minority business development funding provided, report required, and money appropriated.

Representative Richardson presented HF 3066.

HF 2427 (Klevorn) Capitol Area Architectural and Planning Board required to update Capitol Mall Design Framework, Capitol Area Community Vitality Task Force and account established, elements that must be included in updated framework specified, report required, and money appropriated.

Representative Richardson moved to re-refer HF 2427 to the State and Local Government and Policy Committee.

Representative Smith moved the H2427A5 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Richardson renewed the motion to re-refer HF 2427, as amended to the State and Local Government and Policy Committee.

The gavel was passed to Vice-Chair Hanson at 10:53AM.

HF 2870 (Vang) Fortis Capital grant funding provided for revolving loan fund, report required, and money appropriated.

Vice-Chair Hanson moved HF 2870 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Economic Development Committee omnibus bill.

Vice-Chair Hassan moved the H2826A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Vice-Chair Hassan moved the H2826A2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Grossell presented HF 2826, as amended.

Vice-Chair Hanson moved HF 1163 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Economic Development committee omnibus bill.

Vice-Chair Hanson presented HF 1163.
