HUMAN SERVICES FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

Representative Mohamud Noor, Chair of the Committee on Human Services Finance, called the meeting to order at 1:01 PM on March 7, 2023 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Gillman moved that the minutes of March 2, 2023, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 1626 (Hassan); Permanent increases in reimbursement rates established for qualified early intensive development and behavioral intervention providers, and money appropriated.

Chair Noor moved that HF 1626 be laid over for possible inclusion in a future Human Services Finance Committee omnibus bill.

Representative Hassan presented HF 1626.

Chair Noor renewed the motion that HF 1626 be laid over for possible inclusion in a future Human Services Finance Committee omnibus bill. The bill was laid over.

HF 1660 (Hicks); Medical assistance income and spenddown limits increased for persons with disabilities and persons age 65 and over.

Representative Hicks moved that HF 1660 be laid over for possible inclusion in a future Human Services Finance Committee omnibus bill.

Representative Hicks moved the A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Hicks presented HF 1660 as amended.

HF 1634 (Noor); Project ECHO program funding provided, and money appropriated.

Chair Noor moved that HF 1634 be laid over for possible inclusion in a future Human Services Finance Committee omnibus bill.
