HUMAN SERVICES FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

Representative Mohamud Noor, Chair of the Committee on Human Services Finance, called the meeting to order at 1:02 PM on March 14, 2023 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Quam moved that the minutes of March 9, 2023, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 1067 (Hanson); Personal care assistance program modified.

Chair Noor moved that HF 1067 be re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee.

Representative Hanson presented HF 1067.

Chair Noor renewed the motion that HF 1067 be re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILD.

HF 1512 (Hanson); Remote supervision of personal care assistance services permitted.

Chair Noor moved that HF 1512 be referred to the General Register.

Chair Noor moved the A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILD. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Hanson presented HF 1512 as amended.

Testifying on HF 1512 as amended:

Chair Noor renewed the motion that HF 1512, as amended, be referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 1695 (Nelson); Service Employees International Union (SEIU) healthcare agreement ratified.

Chair Noor moved that HF 1695 be laid over for possible inclusion in a future Human Services Finance Committee omnibus bill.

Representative Nelson presented HF 1695.

HF 2516 (Hicks); Component values and payment rates for personal care assistance services and community first services and supports modified.

Representative Hicks moved that HF 2516 be laid over for possible inclusion in a future Human Services Finance Committee omnibus bill.

Representative Hicks moved the A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Hicks moved the A2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Hicks presented HF 2516, as amended.
