JUDICIARY FINANCE AND CIVIL LAW MINUTES

Representative Jamie Becker-Finn, Chair of the Committee on Judiciary Finance and Civil Law, called the meeting to order at 8:34 AM on January 5, 2023 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Becker-Finn moved that House File 37 be recommended to be placed on the General Register.

Representative Becker-Finn moved the H0037A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Agbaje presented HF 37 as amended.

Testifying on HF 37 as amended:
• Vachel Hudson, Urban League Twin Cities
• Commissioner Rebecca Lucero, Minnesota Department of Human Rights
• Kenya McKnight, Black Women’s Wealth Alliance

Representative Becker-Finn renewed the motion that HF 37 as amended be recommended to be placed on the General Register.

THE MOTION PREVAILED.
