JUDICIARY FINANCE AND CIVIL LAW MINUTES

Representative Jamie Becker-Finn, Chair of the Committee on Judiciary Finance and Civil Law, called the meeting to order at 8:30 AM on January 10, 2023 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Moller moved that the minutes of January 5, 2023, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF90 (Becker-Finn) Relating to public defenders; appropriating money for the Board of Public Defense.

Chair Becker-Finn moved that House File 90 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Chair Becker-Finn presented HF 90.

HF1 (Kotyza-Witthuhn) Relating to health; establishing a fundamental right to reproductive health; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 145.

Chair Becker-Finn moved that House File 1 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the State and Local Government Finance and Policy Committee.
