EDUCATION POLICY COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Laurie Pryor, Chair of the Committee on Education Policy, called the meeting to order at 3:01 PM on February 14, 2023 in Room 120 of the Capitol.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Berg moved to approve the minutes from February 8, 2023. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 1257 (Hill); Barriers to teacher licensure removed, licensure requirements modified, and short-call substitute teacher pilot program established.

Vice Chair Hill moved that HF1257 be re-referred to the Committee on Education Finance.

Vice Chair Hill moved the H1257A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Pryor moved the HF1257A2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Vice Chair Hill presented HF1257 as amended.

Vice Chair Hill moved the H1268A2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Vice Chair Hill presented HF1268 as amended.

Representative Feist moved the H0629DE1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
