MINUTES

Representative Michael Nelson, Chair of the Labor and Industry Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 1:00 PM on February 7, 2023 in Room 10 of the State Office Building. It was broadcast via House Public Information Services.

Representative Jordan moved to approve the minutes from February 2, 2023. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 2 (Richardson); Paid Family Medical Leave program established.

Chair Nelson moved that HF 2 be re-referred to the State and Local Government Finance and Policy Committee.

Representative Richardson presented the A21 amendment.

Chair Nelson moved the A21 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Richardson presented HF 2, as amended.

Representative McDonald moved to table HF 2, as amended.

Representative McDonald requested a roll call vote.

Representative McDonald moved an oral amendment to the A18, as below:
Page 1, line 4, delete “January” and insert “July” THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS INCORPORATED.

Representative McDonald renewed the motion that the A18 amendment, as amended, be adopted.

Representative McDonald requested a roll call vote.
