1.9junction with Trunk Highway No. 61; thence northwesterly along Trunk Highway No.
1.1061 to its junction with Trunk Highway No. 10 in the city of St. Paul; thence extending
1.11in a general northwesterly direction along Trunk Highway No. 10 to its junction with
1.12Trunk Highway No. 371 at Little Falls; thence extending in a general northerly direction
1.13along Trunk Highway No. 371 to its junction with Trunk Highway No. 210 at Brainerd;
1.14thence northeasterly along Trunk Highway No. 210 to its junction with Trunk Highway
1.15No. 169 at Aitkin; thence in a general northerly direction along Trunk Highway No. 169
1.16to its junction with Trunk Highway No. 2 at Grand Rapids, except that portion that is
1.17designated as the Jim Oberstar Causeway; thence northwesterly along Trunk Highway

1.24boundary line between the state of Minnesota and the province of Ontario, Canada.
1.25 (b) The route of the Voyageur Highway designated and described in clause (a) is
1.26supplemented by legs or alternative routes described as follows:
2.1 Beginning at a point on Trunk Highway No. 1 at its junction with Trunk Highway
2.2No. 61 northerly of Silver Bay; thence northwesterly along Trunk Highway No. 1 to Ely;
2.3thence southwesterly along Trunk Highway No. 1 to its junction with Trunk Highway No.
2.4169; thence southerly and westerly along Trunk Highway No. 169 to its junction with
2.5Trunk Highway No. 53, and there terminating.
2.6 Beginning at a point on Trunk Highway No. 11 at its junction with Trunk Highway
2.7No. 53 at International Falls; thence easterly along Trunk Highway No. 11 to its easterly
2.8terminus near Island View.
2.9 Beginning at a point on Trunk Highway No. 33 at its junction with Interstate
2.10Highway marked I-35 southerly of Cloquet, thence northerly along Trunk Highway No.
2.1133 to its junction with Trunk Highway No. 53.
2.12 (c) The commissioner of transportation shall:
2.13 (1) adopt a suitable marking design of signs or informational plaques;
2.14 (2) effect the installation of such signs or plaques in public waysides or other public
2.15areas as approved and designated by the commissioner.
2.16 Sec. 2. Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 161.14, is amended by adding a subdivision
2.17to read:
2.18 Subd. 62. Speaker Irvin N. Anderson Memorial Highway. That portion of Route
2.19No. 11 known as Trunk Highway 53 on the effective date of this section, from the junction
2.20of the northern city limits of Virginia to the intersection with marked Trunk Highway 11 in
2.21the city of International Falls, is designated the "Speaker Irvin N. Anderson Memorial
2.22Highway." The commissioner of transportation shall adopt a suitable design to mark this
2.23highway and erect suitable signs, subject to section 161.139."
2.24Delete the title and insert:
2.26relating to highways; designating the Speaker Irvin N. Anderson Memorial
2.27Highway;amending Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 161.14, subdivision 18, by
2.28adding a subdivision."
