1.2Delete everything after the enacting clause and insert:

1.3    "Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 256.962, subdivision 7, is amended to
1.4read:
1.5    Subd. 7. Renewal notice. (a) Beginning December 1, 2007 2009, the commissioner
1.6shall mail a renewal notice to enrollees notifying the enrollees that the enrollees eligibility
1.7must be renewed. A notice shall be sent at least 90 days prior to the renewal date and
1.8at least 60 days prior to the renewal date. The notice to enrollees shall explain that its
1.9purpose is to provide them with sufficient time to collect necessary financial documents
1.10and materials required as part of the eligibility renewal. The commissioner shall provide
1.11an opt-out form with the first renewal notice to allow enrollees to choose to no longer
1.12receive renewal notices unless otherwise required by federal law.
1.13    (b) For enrollees who are receiving services through managed care plans, the
1.14managed care plan must provide a follow-up renewal call at least 60 days prior to the
1.15enrollees' renewal dates.
1.16    (c) The commissioner shall include the end of coverage dates on the monthly rosters
1.17of enrollees provided to managed care organizations."
