1.15    Subd. 2b. Entity volunteer protections. (a) An entity or an agent acting on behalf
1.16of the entity who volunteers to assist a local jurisdiction during an emergency or disaster,
1.17who registers with that jurisdiction, and who is under the direction and control of the
1.18local jurisdiction is not liable for civil damages or administrative sanctions as a result of
1.19good-faith acts or omissions by that entity or agent in rendering emergency care, advice,
1.20or assistance. This subdivision does not apply if the entity or agent acts in a willful and
1.21wanton or reckless manner in providing the care, advice, or assistance.
1.22(b) An entity or an agent acting on behalf of the entity who volunteers to assist
1.23the state during an emergency or disaster, who registers with a state agency, and who
1.24is under the direction and control of the state agency is not liable for civil damages or
1.25administrative sanctions as a result of good-faith acts or omissions by that entity or agent
1.26in rendering emergency care, advice, or assistance. This subdivision does not apply if the
2.1entity or agent acts in a willful and wanton or reckless manner in providing the care,
