1.2Delete everything after the enacting clause and insert:

1.3    "Section 1. [325F.1791] CERTAIN ANTIBACTERIAL PRODUCTS; SALE
1.4PERMITTED UNDER CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES.
1.5    Subdivision 1. Generally. A person may offer for sale in Minnesota a product that
1.6contains only trace amounts of triclosan, triclocarban, or similar antibacterial compounds
1.7and may label the product as "triclosan free."
1.8    Subd. 2. Exception. Subdivision 1 applies only if the trace amounts of triclosan,
1.9triclocarban, or similar antibacterial compounds referenced in subdivision 1 were caused
1.10by the raw materials or the manufacturing process and were not added by the seller.
1.11EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective January 1, 2015, and applies to
1.12products offered for sale or sold on or after that date."
