Representative Paul Thissen, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:40 P.M. on, Thursday, March 15, 2007 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Chair Thissen moved that the following bills be re-referred to the Committee on Finance but without further recommendation.

HF369 (Peterson) A bill for an act relating to health; eliminating the statewide hospitality fee

HF450 (Peterson) A bill for an act relating to human services; authorizing a planned closure rate adjustment for a nursing facility in Big Stone County

HF586 (Bly) A bill for an act relating to human services; designating certain nursing facilities in Rice County as metro for purposes of determining reimbursement rates

HF781 (Loeffler) A bill for an act relating to human services; authorizing the licensure of two intermediate care facilities for persons with developmental disabilities to replace one larger facility

HF1583 (Nelson) A bill for an act relating to human services; authorizing the licensure of four intermediate care facilities for persons with developmental disabilities to replace one larger facility; establishing a transition period rate; establishing the payment rate for the new facilities

Page 2, line 3, after semicolon, insert "(6) noresidential programs primarily for children that provide care or supervision for periods of less than three hours a day while the child's parent or legal guardian is in the same building as the nonresidential program or present within another building that is directly contiguous to the building in which the nonresidential program is located;"
