ST. PAUL -- The Bloomington Jefferson High School state champion girls hockey team recently received a standing ovation on the floor of the Minnesota House of Representatives. State Rep. Alice Seagren, R-Bloomington, invited the team to the Capitol for a congratulatory visit.
"This team has a lot of young players, so I'm suspecting that they've started a dynasty," Rep. Seagren said to the 134 House members. "Watch for them to be back here again as state champions next year."
Before being honored on the House floor, Rep. Seagren arranged for the team to visit with Governor Ventura in his Capitol reception room.
