Rep. Knudsen Extends Condolences After Tragic House Fire in Osage

St. Paul, MN — Rep. Krista Knudsen (R - Lake Shore) issued the following statement in response to a fatal house fire in Osage earlier this week:

"I was deeply saddened to learn about the tragic house fire in Osage that claimed a life and left another person injured. My thoughts are with the family, friends, and neighbor who are now dealing with unimaginable loss and the aftermath of such a devastating event.

Fires like this affect far more than a single household. They ripple through a community, especially in smaller towns where people know one another and feel these losses personally. The circumstances described in the early hours of the morning are difficult to hear about, and it is heartbreaking to know that a life was lost.

I also want to recognize the people who responded when help was needed. First responders, deputies, firefighters, and those who stopped to assist did everything they could in a very difficult situation. Their work matters, especially on days like this.

In the days ahead, the focus will rightly be on supporting those who are grieving and helping the community process what has happened. Please know that many people across the region are thinking of the family and keeping them in their prayers. No words can make a loss like this easier, but our communities do stand together during moments like this."
