Affordability Focus ContinuesHouse Republicans continue to press for greater affordability for Minnesota families. Our most important priorities include:
The House Republican Caucus believes that you know best how to spend your money, and we will never stop fighting on your behalf to lower your tax burden. I continue to ask for your help to get my Democrat colleagues and Governor Walz on board for making Minnesota more affordable.
Agriculture Day and Irrigation PolicyThis week was Agriculture Day on the Hill, and I was blessed to see some of the great farmers from our community who put down their equipment for a day to come to the State Capitol and advocate on behalf of farm families and the economic backbone of Minnesota: agriculture. This year, my work to help Minnesota farmers is primarily focused on improving irrigation policy. Specifically, I am an author on bills HF3236 and HF4019, which would enhance the application and approval process for water-use permits issued by the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), and provide permit access to the Mt. Simon-Hinckley aquifer for agricultural crops — directly benefiting farm families in Kanabec and Isanti Counties. Together, these pieces of legislation will have significant positive impacts for farm families in our community and across the state for generations to come. |
