Upcoming In-District Events

Friends and Neighbors,

As the Legislature heads into Easter Break, I will be back in district and would love to connect with you at the following events:

2026 Legislative Update:

Thursday, April 2, 10:00AM–12:00PM

Morrison County Government Center

213 1st Ave SE, Little Falls, MN 56345

The Little Falls Chamber of Commerce is hosting me and other legislators from our area to provide a recap of recent local and statewide legislation. This will be a great event to attend if you are interested in learning more about the intersection of politics and business in Minnesota.

Town Hall

Monday, April 6, 7:00PM–8:00PM

Gorecki Community Center

435 2nd St. NW, Milaca, MN 56353

I will be hosting a town hall to answer your questions and to hear your top legislative priorities. I am grateful for all who have attended my recent town halls in February and March, and I am proud to live in a community with so many politically engaged neighbors. Together, we are making a meaningful impact in upholding the values and interests of Greater Minnesota at the State Capitol.

Upcoming Town Halls

Affordability Focus Continues

House Republicans continue to press for greater affordability for Minnesota families.

Our most important priorities include:

  • Property tax rebate using Minnesota's massive current budget surplus
  • Reducing your car tab fees back to pre-DFL Trifecta levels
  • No tax on tips and overtime (to align with the federal One Big Beautiful Bill)
  • No tax on Social Security
  • $1,700 tax credit for donations to K-12 scholarship granting organizations

The House Republican Caucus believes that you know best how to spend your money, and we will never stop fighting on your behalf to lower your tax burden. I continue to ask for your help to get my Democrat colleagues and Governor Walz on board for making Minnesota more affordable.

Agriculture Day and Irrigation Policy

This week was Agriculture Day on the Hill, and I was blessed to see some of the great farmers from our community who put down their equipment for a day to come to the State Capitol and advocate on behalf of farm families and the economic backbone of Minnesota: agriculture.

This year, my work to help Minnesota farmers is primarily focused on improving irrigation policy. Specifically, I am an author on bills HF3236 and HF4019, which would enhance the application and approval process for water-use permits issued by the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), and provide permit access to the Mt. Simon-Hinckley aquifer for agricultural crops — directly benefiting farm families in Kanabec and Isanti Counties.

Together, these pieces of legislation will have significant positive impacts for farm families in our community and across the state for generations to come.
