Gov. Mark Dayton’s latest tax proposal looks familiar.
The plan released Thursday contains mostly provisions that were included in last year’s tax bill, which he vetoed due to a drafting error that would have cost the state nearly $100 million.
“Our tax bill provides relief to more than 450,000 Minnesotans,” Dayton said of the $300 million proposal.
Expansion of the working family tax credit and tax credits for child care expenses are among areas Dayton highlighted. He would also like to see more money for local government aid and help for farmers who are struggling with the portion they need to pay for school bonding projects.
