The state’s latest fiscal forecast will be released Dec. 5, Minnesota Management and Budget officials announced Monday.

MMB’s State of Minnesota 2017 November Economic Forecast will mark the second of two annual reports that the agency releases. Next month’s announcement traditionally helps to set the stage for lawmakers’ planning ahead of the coming legislative session.

The next forecast is due to be released in late February or early March. Lawmakers are scheduled to convene the 2018 session on Feb. 20.

MMB Commissioner Myron Frans will be joined by State Budget Director Margaret Kelly and State Economist Laura Kalambokidis for the announcement, according to a news release. More details will be released closer to the Dec. 5 announcement.
