Agenda:
1. Civil Legal Services overview and budget recommendations presentation.
2. HF 286 (Becker-Finn) Civil legal service funding provided, and money appropriated.
3. Guardian ad Litem Board overview and budget recommendations presentation.
4. HF 366 (Agbaje) Reproductive health care; health records release limited, certain acts by health-related licensing boards prohibited, certain judgement enforcement prevented, subpoena enforcement restricted, lawsuit cause of action created for penalties and court costs, and extradition of persons charged in another state prohibited for acts committed or services received in Minnesota.

Committee discussion of all bills will be limited to the provisions within the jurisdiction of the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee. Items may be taken up in any order, items may be added or removed at the Chairs' discretion.

HANDOUTS: Handouts in Word or PDF format should be emailed to the committee administrator by 10am the business day before the hearing. Submitted written testimony is public and will be included in the official committee record. It will be posted to the committee webpage if received by deadline.

1. HF 14 (Pinto) Criminal background checks required for firearm transfers, and grounds modified for disqualification of transferee permit.
2. HF 15 (Frazier) Law enforcement and family members enabled to petition a court to prohibit people from possessing firearms if they pose a significant danger to themselves or others by possessing a firearm, and money appropriated.

*** The Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee hearing on Thursday, February 9th will be a ticketed event. The hearing will be broadcast on the Minnesota House Live Webcast and Mobile Streaming. There will also be an overflow room at the Capitol.
