'Starting Line': Opening door to sell more growlers

The number of microbreweries and brew pubs continues to grow in the state. However, the success of small breweries could potentially lead to frustration as well. Current law limits the amount of barrels a microbrewery may produce annually in order to be issued an off-sale license to sell their own product.

This week on Starting Line we sit down with Rep. Drew Christensen (R-Savage) to learn more about HF1078, his so-called “growler bill.” The proposed legislation would, in part, increase the amount of barrels a microbrewery can annually produce while still being able to sell growlers.
