Committee Administrator - DFL Caucus
Full-time Committee Administrator position with the DFL Caucus of the Minnesota House of Representatives provide administrative services to ensure orderly and proper functioning of the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law committee.
Duties include planning public hearings, conducting research, tracking legislation, administering the committee budget, and maintaining communication between the DFL committee chair, committee members, state agencies, legislative staff, interested individuals, and pertinent Senate committee(s).
Position requires knowledge of state government and legislative process. Position involves frequent public contact. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Proficiency in video conferencing applications such as Zoom and Teams for remote hearings/meetings preferred. Must have the ability to work long and irregular hours especially during session.
BA/BS degree or relevant experience required. Graduate or professional degree or equivalent experience in a pertinent field preferred.
This is a full-time, at-will position that works in person with the possibility of some interim remote work consistent with House policies and department needs. The House offers a competitive salary and opportunities for ongoing professional development. Starting classification and annual salary commensurate with relevant experience. Committee Administrator I - III range $67,993.44 - $149,436.00. The starting salary range for an entry-level Committee Administrator I is generally between $67,993.44 and $74,792.88, depending on relevant experience.
