HIGHER EDUCATION FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Gene Pelowski, Chair of the Higher Education Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:30 AM on April 18th, 2024, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The clerk noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Wolgamott moved that the minutes from April 9th, 2024, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 5299 (Pelowski) Higher Education Budget Bill; consideration of amendments and passage.

Representative Pelowski brought HF 5299 before the committee.

Representative Pelowski moved that HF 5299 be referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Representative Pelowski moved the H5299DE1 amendment to HF 5299.

Representative Pelowski moved the H5299A2 amendment to HF 5299.

Representative Pelowski renewed the motion that the H5299A2 amendment to HF 5299 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Coulter moved the H5299A1 amendment to HF 5299, as amended, be adopted.

Representative Coulter renewed the motion that the H5299A1 amendment to HF 5299, as amended, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Pelowski renewed the motion that the H5299DE1 amendment, as amended, to HF 5299 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Pelowski renewed the motion that HF 5299, as amended, be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:41 AM.
