St. Paul, MN - Today, on the last day of the 2023 Legislative Session, the Minnesota House passed a bipartisan package of legislation (HF669 and HF670) investing in jobs and infrastructure projects throughout the state. State Representative Luke Frederick (DFL - Mankato), secured investments for local projects.
“When I arrived in Saint Paul in January, I knew this would be a consequential session,” said Rep. Luke Frederick (DFL-Mankato). “We have a long list of accomplishments, topped off by passage of the infrastructure bill. I am grateful to everyone who reached out to me this session with their input and suggestions. I appreciate partnerships with local businesses, governments, nonprofits, and residents. We can only succeed when we do this work together.”
The Capital Investment Bill includes funding for Mankato State University’s Armstrong Hall, the Mankato Wastewater Treatment Facility and the St. Peter Security Hospital Sunrise building remodel.
Having passed both the House and Senate, the bills now head to Governor Walz for his anticipated signature. Video of today’s floor debate can be found on the House Public Information YouTube channel.
