Thursday at 10:30: House Public Safety and Children & Finance Committees to Hold Joint Hearing on Impact of Gun Violence on Children

SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Thursday, February 29 at 10:30 a.m., the Minnesota House Public Safety Finance and Policy Committee will meet jointly with the House Children and Families Finance and Policy Committee to overview the impacts of gun violence on children. The committees will hold a public hearing on two gun violence prevention bills. HF 4300, authored by Rep. Jamie Becker-Finn (DFL – Roseville), sets standards for safe storage of firearms and ammunition, and HF 601, authored by Rep. Kaohly Her (DFL – Saint Paul) requires the reporting of lost and stolen firearms.
