Rep. Wolgamott calls on Republican Legislators to denounce ICE

St. Paul, MN - As ICE’s unjust actions across Minnesota continue, every day brings more examples of violations against the rights of Minnesotans - with recent atrocities including the detention of a 5-year-old. 

State Representative Dan Wolgamott (DFL - St. Cloud) released the following statement calling on Republican legislators to denounce ICE’s unjust actions and work with President Donald Trump to remove ICE from Minnesota:

“I’m calling on my Minnesota GOP colleagues to speak out against these ICE atrocities and convince Donald Trump to remove ICE from our state immediately.

“If you are a GOP elected official who spoke at a Trump rally, if you went to Trump’s inauguration, if you publicly supported his candidacy, you have a moral imperative to take action and defend our state from this federal intrusion.

“Otherwise, history will forever judge your silence as compliance with these heinous human rights violations.”
