DFL Lawmakers Announce Minnesota Values Project Policy Agenda 2027
Roadmap developed to tackle Minnesotans’ urgent challenges and secure state’s long-term future
SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Today, DFL legislators from the Minnesota House and Senate unveiled the Minnesota Values Project Policy Agenda 2027. The agenda is the result of input from Minnesotans across the state and will serve as the guiding vision for lawmakers when they return to the Capitol in 2027.
"We’ve heard from many Minnesotans who are working hard, but still struggling to afford the basics. Meanwhile, Donald Trump continues to target Minnesota in his retribution campaign, which is making people’s lives more expensive and more difficult,” said House DFL Floor Leader Jamie Long. “The MVP Policy Agenda 2027 focuses on lowering costs, protecting our freedoms, and supporting working families. No matter what barriers Republicans in Washington put before us, DFLers believe Minnesota can continue to lead by giving everyone a fair chance to succeed."
The agenda focuses on three key themes: delivering a more affordable life for Minnesotans; keeping Minnesotans safe and protecting their rights; and building a fair society where everyone can get ahead.
“Senate DFLers moved a powerful agenda this session and much of it became law,” said Sen. Liz Boldon, co-chair of the Minnesota Values Project. “We are back in our communities, listening and engaging, preparing for the work ahead of us to solve problems large and small, working with partners to make life a little easier for Minnesotans.”
“We do this work to make Minnesotans’ lives better, and there’s no question that this agenda would do just that,” said Rep. Cedrick Frazier, co-chair of the Minnesota Values Project. “No matter how much Republicans try to convince you that life can’t be better, that these problems can’t be solved, we’re here to show that elected officials can actually deliver for the people we serve. We can do anything when we put Minnesotans first.”
