Rep. Igo Recognized as 2025 Legislator of the Year for Leadership by Housing First Minnesota 

St. Paul, MN — Representative Spencer Igo (R - Wabana Township) has been named a 2025 Legislator of the Year by Housing First Minnesota for his work advancing housing affordability and expanding homeownership opportunities across the state. 

As Co-Chair of the House Housing Committee, Rep. Igo has led efforts focused on practical, bipartisan solutions. His priorities center on keeping homes affordable, promoting long-term stability in housing, and ensuring a wide range of housing options for families across Minnesota.  

“I honored to receive this award and echo the sentiment that homeownership should be attainable.,” Rep. Igo said. “We need affordable and diverse housing options that fit every stage of life. It is by creating that environment in housing we can create stability for all Minnesotans so they can build a secure future right here at home.”
