MINUTES


Representative Tim Wilkin, Chair of the Commerce & Financial Institutions Committee, called the sixth meeting to order at 12:35 p.m. on Wednesday, February 2, 2005, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Rep. Powell moved that the minutes from the meeting of February 1, 2005 be approved.
The motion prevailed.

Commissioner Matt Kramer of the Department of Employment & Economic Development, gave a presentation on the impact of the Governor’s budget proposal on the department and answered questions from members.

Director John Edman of the Explore Minnesota Tourism agency gave a presentation on the impact of the Governor’s budget proposal on the department and answered questions from members.

Chairman James O’Brien and Executive Doreen Johnson Frost of the Board of Architecture gave a presentation on the impact of the Governor’s budget proposal on the board and answered questions from members.

Executive Secretary John Schultz, President John Williamson and Gary Novak of the Board of Electricity gave a presentation on the impact of the Governor’s budget proposal on the board and answered questions from members.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:15 p.m.
