MINUTES


Representative Tim Wilkin, Chair of the Commerce & Financial Institutions Committee, called the ninth meeting to order at 1:05 p.m. on Wednesday, February 16, 2005, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

Rep. Fritz moved that the minutes from the meeting of February 15, 2005 be approved.

The motion prevailed.


HF776 (McNamara) Medicare supplement coverage purchase right broadened.

Rep. Wilkin moved that HF776 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Health Policy and Finance.

Rep. McNamara presented HF776.

Rep. Wilkin renewed his motion that HF776 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Health Policy and Finance.

The motion prevailed.


HF925 (Gazelka) Medicare related coverage federal conformity, financial solvency regulation for stand-alone Medicare Part D prescription drug plans, and related technical changes provided.

Rep. Gazelka moved that HF925 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Health Policy and Finance.


Rep. Gazelka moved to incorporate the H0925A amendment to HF925.

The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.

Rep. Gazelka presented HF925.

HF898 (Sertich) Unemployment insurance federal requirement conformity and technical corrections provided.

Rep. Sertich moved HF898 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Civil Law Committee.

Rep. Sertich moved to incorporate the A05-0047 amendment to HF898.

The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.

Rep. Sertich presented HF898.
