MINUTES

Representative Paul Kohls, Chair of the Technology, Bioscience & Medical Products Division, called the Sixth meeting to order at 1:10 P.M. on Wednesday, March 16, 2005, in Room 500 North of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Peppin moved approval of the March 3, 2005 Technology, Bioscience & Medical Products Division minutes. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.

HF1548 (Kohls) University of Minnesota Board of Regents Biotechnology medical genomics research funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Kohls moved HF1548 be passed and be considered by the Committee on Commerce and Financial Institutions.

Representative Kohls moved amendment to HF1548. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Kohls renewed his motion that HF1548 be passed, as amended, and be considered by the Committee on Commerce and Financial Institutions. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF0434 (Demmer) Mayo Clinic and University of Minnesota biotechnology and medical genomics research partnership funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Kohls moved HF0434 be passed and be considered by the Committee on Commerce and Financial Institutions

Representative Demmer presented HF0434.
