MINUTES


Representative Tim Wilkin, Chairman of the Commerce and Financial Institutions Committee, called the thirty-fourth meeting to order at 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2006, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

HF3133 (Gazelka) Employment and Economic Development Department technical and housekeeping changes provided, department assistance provision to small businesses regarding federal funds required, fees imposed and revenue appropriated.

Rep. Gazelka presented HF3133.

A quorum was present.

Rep. Gazelka moved that HF3133 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Jobs and Economic Opportunity Policy and Finance.

Rep. Gazelka moved to amend HF3133 with the A06-1183 amendment.

THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Rep. Gazelka renewed his motion that HF3133 be recommended to pass, as amended, and be referred to the Committee on Jobs and Economic Opportunity Policy and Finance.

HF2878 (Gazelka) Life insurance policy retention by medical assistance applicants authorized in certain instances.

Rep. Gazelka moved that HF2878 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Health Policy and Finance.

Rep. Gazelka moved to orally amend HF2878 as follows:

Page 2, Line 17: Delete “the primary,” and insert a

HF12 (Rukavina) Minors prohibited from employment where liquor is served or consumed.

Rep. Rukavina moved that HF12 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the General Register.
