STATE OF MINNEOSTA FORTIETH MEETING
HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES EIGHTY-FOURTH SESSION
EDUCATION FINANCE COMMITTEE
Representative Barb Sykora, Chair of the Education Finance Committee, called the fortieth meeting to order at 10:09 am, on Tuesday, February 28, 2006 in Room 200 of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

Lisa Larson, House Research gave a summary on the history of Integration Aid.
Tim Strom noted key pages to find additional information on the Integration Aid program and gave additional background information.
Testifying on Integration Aid – Minneapolis Public Schools:
Jim Grathwol, Minneapolis Public Schools gave an introduction on the Application of Integration Aid in the Minneapolis Public Schools.

- Janet Bouyer-Thomas, Director, Diversity & Opportunity.
- Lisa Larson gave some clarification on the program.
- Mr. Dan Jett, West Metro Education Program (WMEP) Superintendent,
Testifying on Integration Aid – St. Paul Public Schools:

Dr. Carl Wahlstrom, East Metro Integration District (EMID) Superintendent.

Dr. Jerry Williams, Rochester Schools Superintendent testified on Integration Aid in his school district.
Jennifer Ford-Reedy, Itasca Project Coordinator presented “Mind the Gap” report.
