MINUTES


Representative Steve Smith, Chair of the Public Safety Policy and Finance Committee, called the twenty-sixth meeting to order at 10:22 a.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2005 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

Rep. Cornish moved approval of the minutes of March 10, 2005, Public Safety Policy and Finance Meeting. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Eastlund assumed the Chair.

Rep. Smith moved HF963 relating to strangulation of family or household member crime established and penalties provided.

Rep. Smith presented HF963.

Rep. Smith moved to amend HF963 with the 05-2246 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Smith moved HF226 relating to abortion notification data reporting required relating to abortions performed on a minor or specified other women.

Rep. Ellison moved HF1289 relating to driver's license suspension required for defendants convicted of gasoline theft.

Rep. Ellison presented HF1289.
