Representative Steve Smith, Chair of the Public Safety Policy and Finance Committee, called the forty-fourth meeting to order at 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2006 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

Rep. Smith moved HF3298 (B. Anderson) relating to drug paraphernalia crime modified, possession of certain items associated with controlled substances prohibited, and criminal penalties imposed.

Rep. Meslow moved HF3345 relating to drug offender deferred prosecution required, driver's license suspension and reinstatement procedures, nonviolent offender conditional release provisions, and various related crime provisions modified.
