MINUTES
Representative Phil Krinkie, Chair of the Taxes Committee called the second meeting to order at 10:23 a.m. Thursday, January 13th, 2005, in room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

Representative Abrams moved HF 166 to pass and be re-referred to the committee on Ways and Means.

Representative Abrams moved the amendment labeled HO166A1.
Page 5, line 4, delete “2005, H.R. 241” and insert “January 7,2005, Public Law 109-1”
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Representative Abrams moved to amend HF166 as follows.
Page 5, line 7, after “purposes” insert “and apply to the subratction under subdivision 19b, clause 7”
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Representative Abrams renewed his motion that HF166 be passed and re-referred to the committee on Ways and Means.

Representative Knoblach moved approval of minutes for Tuesday, January 11, 2005.
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.


Chair Krinkie asked House Fiscal staff to discuss their policies and practices.

Chair Krinkie asked House Research staff to present to members and staff an overview of Minnesota property and local government taxes.
