Representative Jim Knoblach, Chair, called the forty-first meeting to order at 2:20 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2006 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

Representative Knoblach called the meeting to order at 2:20 p.m. A quorum was present.

HF3924 Nornes (First engrossment) Omnibus higher education bill appropriating money and reducing appropriations, establishing task forces and modifying programs, providing federal student data conformity, and adjusting student loans and work-study provisions.

Representative Nornes and Doug Berg, House Fiscal Analyst testified on HF2924, first engrossment.

Representative Nornes moved the H3924A21 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Nornes moved the H3924A19 amendment.

Representative Knoblach moved to orally amend H3924A19 amendment by: P. 1, L.5, “delete
-Rochester” THE ORAL AMENDMENT WAS INCORPORATED.

Representative Nornes moved that the H3924A19 amendment, as amended, be recommended to pass. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Nornes moved that HF2924, first engrossment, as amended, be recommended to pass

Representative Knoblach requested a roll call vote. The results were as follows:
