Representative Jim Knoblach, Chair, called the twenty-seventh meeting to order at 3:42 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2005 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

Representative Knoblach called the meeting to order at 3:42 pm.

Representative Carlson moved that the minutes of May 10, 2005 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

SF1368 (Westrom) Energy provisions modifications.

Representative Knoblach moved that SF1368 be recommended to pass and be sent to the General Register.

Representative Westrom and Edward Garvey, Deputy Commissioner, MN Department of Commerce testified on SF1368.

Representative Knoblach renewed his motion that SF1368 be recommended to pass and be sent to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1161 (Huntley) Health occupations provisions modified, social work statutes and rules recodified; and penalties, fees, and reviews established.

Representative Huntley moved that HF1161, first engrossment, be recommended to pass and be sent to the General Register.

Representative Huntley testified on HF1161, first engrossment.



Representative Abeler moved the H1161A8 amendment.

Representative Abeler moved to orally amend the H1161A8 amendment by: P. 1, L. 4thru 7. The oral amendment was incorporated.

Representative Abeler moved that the H1161A8 amendment, as incorporated, be adopted. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Abeler moved the H1161A7 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Huntley moved that HF1161, first engrossment, as amended, be recommended to pass. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Knoblach recessed the meeting at 4:20 pm.

Representative Knoblach re-convened the meeting at 4:25 pm.

HF2358 (Seifert) MFIP monthly cash assistance payments prohibited for use in purchasing tobacco or alcohol.

Representative Seifert and Ann Sessoms, Director, MN Department of Human Services, testified on HF2358, first engrossment.

Representative Knoblach moved the H2358A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Seifert moved to lay over HF2358, first engrossment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:42 pm.
