MINUTES


Representative Joe Atkins, Chair of the Commerce and Labor Committee, called the meeting to order at 4:13 P.M. on February 15, 2007, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

There were no members absent or excused.

A quorum was present.

Representative Anzelc moved that the minutes of February 6, 2007 and February 8, 2007, as corrected, and the minutes of February 13, 2007 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF131 (Hilstrom) Social Security number use restricted

Representative Davnie moved that the Division Report on HF 131 be adopted.

Representative Davnie moved HF 131.

Representative Davnie moved the A07-0059 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Davnie moved to orally amend the A07-0059 amendment as follows: L 1.17, after (8) insert "sell," THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Davnie moved to orally amend HF 131 as follows: L 1.17, subd. (ii), delete the word "essential" and replace with "necessary“:“ delete “; and",: delete L 1.18 and in L 1.19, delete everything before the comma: delete L 2.12 THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Lillie assumed the gavel at 5:00pm.

Representative Atkins assumed the gavel at 5:06pm.

Representative Atkins moved that HF 131, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus data privacy bill. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting was adjourned at 5:26 P.M.
