MINUTES


Representative Joe Atkins, Chair of the Commerce and Labor Committee, called the meeting to order at 4:04 P.M. on March 6, 2007, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Simpson moved that the minutes of March 1, 2007 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 633 (Sertich) Health plan coverage for hearing aids regulated.

Representative Atkins moved HF 633.

The following people testified on HF 633:

Representative Atkins moved that HF 633 be recommended to pass. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 772 (Paymar) Aircraft insurance minimum liability requirements increased, and aircraft insurance made not voidable retroactively after a claim.

Representative Atkins moved HF 772.

Representative Atkins moved the H0772DE1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Atkins moved to orally amend the H0772DE1 amendment as follows: L1.18 after the second "no" insert "fraud or" THE AMENDMENT WAS INCORPORATED.

Representative Atkins moved that HF 772, as amended, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Public Safety and Civil Justice Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 413 (Lillie) Outdoor sports equipment dealers franchise agreements with manufacturers regulated, title requirements imposed, and money appropriated.

Representative Lillie moved HF 413.

Representative Lillie moved the H0413A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Lillie moved the A101 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Zellers assumed the gavel at 4:40pm.

HF 111 (Loeffler) Preventive health care promoted by requiring high deductible health plans used with a health savings account to cover preventive care with no deductible as permitted by federal law.

Representative Atkins moved HF 111.

Representative Atkins moved the H0111DE3 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Paulsen moved to amend the motion to refer HF 111, as amended, to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Taxes.

Representative Paulsen withdrew his motion.

Representative Atkins moved that HF 111, as amended, be recommended to pass. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 475 (Loeffler) Adult dependents private health care coverage expanded by including those not enrolled as full-time students.

Representative Atkins moved HF 475.

Representative Loeffler testified on HF 475.

Representative Atkins moved that HF 475 be recommended to pass. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
