MINUTES
Representative Sheldon Johnson, Chair of the Telecommunications Regulation and Infrastructure Division, called the second meeting to order at 8:05 A.M. on January 19, 2007, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Johnson called the meeting to order at 8:05 A.M. A quorum was present.
Representative Morrow moved that the minutes of January 12, 2007 be adopted.
THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Gary Fields, Project Consultant for the Blandin Foundation, gave an overview. A handout "Live at the Speed of Light" was given to division members.
Keith Weigel, Advocacy Director for AARP gave division members an overview of AARP's position. A handout "Key Elements for Informed Choice and Consumer Protection in the Wireless Telecommunications Marketplace".
Ron Elwood, Staff Attorney for Legal Services Advocacy Project, gave an overview to division members.
Michael Nowick, President of Minnesota Telecom Alliance gave a history of the organization to division members.
Tim Lovaasen, President of the Communications Workers of America, Minnesota State Council gave a history of the organization and there work in the telecommunications industry.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:25 A.M.
