Representative Carlos Mariani, Chair of the E-12 Education Committee, called the seventh meeting to order at 8:15 AM on Tuesday, February 6, 2007, in the basement hearing room of the State Office Building.

Rep. Mariani gave an overview of the week's agenda.
Rep. Slocum moved that the minutes of February 1, 2007 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Overview of issues related to state K-12 academic standards.
