Representative Alice Hausman, Chair of the Capital Investment Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:20 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2007, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

Rep. Urdahl moved approval of the minutes from the meeting of Thursday, January 25, 2007. MOTION PREVAILED - THE MINUTES WERE ADOPTED
Rep. Cy Thao presented House File 87 - Relating to capital improvements; authorizing expenditures to predesign an Asian Pacific Cultural Center in St. Paul; amending Laws 2006, chapter 258, section
21, subdivision 21.
Chair Hausman moved that HF 87 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Finance.
- Naomi Chu, Executive Director, Asian Pacific Community Center presented in support of the bill and responded to questions.
Chair Hausman renewed the motion that HF 87 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Finance. Rep. Tingelstad requested a roll call. The Roll Call was as follows:
